Holiday Party Playlist

Scream & Shout (feat. Britney Spears)

I don’t know about you, possums, but the holiday party circuit is starting to take its toll. As one good friend wisely said the Christmas season is a marathon, not a sprint. Try telling that to my liver. Not that I’m complaining mind you – tis’ the season!

Hosting a Christmas soiree can be a lot of work, and one thing that tends to take some time is putting together a festive playlist to have high kick competitions rock out to during your do. My playlists always lead to a late-night dance-off, if I do say so myself, so I thought I’d help you scratch one to-do off your list. Here’s my 2012 Holiday Party Playlist:

Scream & Shout – will.i.am (feat. Britney Spears)
Feliz Navidad – Jose Feliciano
Sail – AWOLNATION
Rest of the World – Big Wreck
All I Want for Christmas – Mariah Carey
Everlasting Light – The Black Keys
Someday At Christmas – Stevie Wonder
7/4 Shoreline – Broken Social Scene
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen – Bare Naked Ladies
107 Degrees – Citizen Cope
A Holly Jolly Christmas – Alan Jackson
Sweet Nothing – Calvin Harris (feat. Florence Welch)
Christmas In Hollis – Run-DMC
Fragile Bird – City and Colour
Santa Claus Is Coming To Town – Jackson 5
Only You – Ellie Goulding
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! – Frank Sinatra
Dare – Gorillaz
Happy Xmas (War Is Over) – John Lennon
Shove It – Santigold (feat. Spank Rock)
Youth Without Youth – Metric
Blue Christmas – Elvis Presley
You Know What – N.E.R.D.
Let’s Have a Kiki – Scissor Sisters
Last Christmas – Wham!

What’s your favorite holiday tune? Are you suffering from yule tide burn-out, or are you still partying like a champ?
